Moisturizing Products you NEED for Winter
*I earn a small commission on all products listed here. But as always, all opinions are my own.
You can feel it in the air… WINTER IS COMING! Probably the worst part about the cold months is how it ZAPS the moisture out of every part of your body – Face, hair, hands, feet, and your overall body! Well I compiled a list of my favorite products for each thing so that you can stock up BEFORE winter hits. Like a squirrel hiding nuts, I am picturing you guys stuffing your nightstands full of these items so your skin will be hydrated until spring! And don’t worry – these aren’t things a brand sent to me LAST WEEK, these are TRIED & TRUE, products I have been using for years that I rely on every winter.
FACE
The Better Skin Co.’s Mirakle cream is just that. I typically reach for this product when I have neglected my skin for days and it needs a complete REBOOT. When I use it at night, my skin is bright and bouncey again the next day as if nothing happened.
I have been using this mask for over three years and surprisingly, it was a gift from one of my BROTHERS for Christmas a long time ago. But it’s SUCH a keeper – secret weapon! Kind of like the Mirakle cream above, this mask completely revives lifeless skin. It both brightens and hydrates INTENSELY. Now, there are two ways to use it. You can use it as a regular mask where you just leave it on for 10-15 mins. OR you can leave it on longer if your skin absorbs it… That’s always what I do. Sometimes I will just wear it all day if I am on a road trip or staying around the house. But I also sometimes sleep in it. As always with Burts Bees, the ingredients are very natural and it has never given me any bad reaction from sleeping in it! I absolutely love this product. It is also very affordable so can’t beat that!
If you are looking for some special love on your face this winter season, head to your local Red Door Spa. It’s a bigger investment but comes with a few hours of pampering. If you have the money to spend, it is well worth it. I have been getting oxygen facials with them for years and love the results. The way it works is they have a little machine that blows out pure oxygen and it will push ingredients into your pores. Of course they do a ton of steaming and hot towel treatments beforehand too to open the pores. Then they literally PUSH highly hydrating product into your skin. You will definitely see and feel results from this facial! (If you live in Dallas, go see Marina in Plano! You won’t regret it!)
This is my #1 recommendation on this page. It’s my favorite hydrating product. An esthetician at the Red Door Spa lead me to this product but it’s not by Elizabeth Arden, rather by Skinceuticals (but they carry it at the spa). B5 serum goes onto your bare skin before your moisturizer and helps grab that moisturizer and pull it into your skin. Its consistency is thin and glossy and it makes your skin feel amazing. Think of it as intensifying the effects of your normal moisturizer… Now who doesn’t want that?!
HAIR
- Oribe Supershine moisture ( THICK hair // THIN hair )
This was a newer find, about a year ago! There are two versions of this – one for thinner hair, one for thicker. I do the one for thinner hair. It just has less moisture because you have less hair. If you use the thicker one but your hair is thin, it will make it overly greasy and weighted down. But if you use the thin one and your hair is too thick, it won’t do much. So I would say either consult your stylist OR if you know what type of hair you have, choose accordingly. This product supposedly also protects from heat. I don’t know about that, but I DO know that it softens, adds shine, and mega moisture to dry hair. I especially focus it on the ends. It’s magic and smells amazing.
You guys know I always recommend this product. I will say, do NOT buy it from a salon… They almost double the price. This is your typical hair mask but pack a more SERIOUS punch that lasts for many washes. It has tons of nutrients (I swear you can feel and see a big difference) for your hair. I actually leave mine on for about 12 hrs. Either I will start in the morning and wash it out before bed. Or I will apply at night and rinse in the morning. It will leave your hair silky smooth for about a week and smelling great. This is also perfect before a date night or special dinner! Blow your hair out after and it will look spectacular and you won’t dry your hair out. I have even heard of people using it every couple days as a conditioner. Why not right?!
BODY
OK a friend of mine referred to this as the “little human greaseball.” Couldn’t be more true! After a hot bath or shower, I will take coconut oil and literally apply it head to toe. Then once I am all greased up, I take wooly socks, a long sleeve shirt, close fitting sweats, and a warm robe and bundle up! The warmer you are, the more your pores will open up and soak in that moisture! The coconut oil will leave your skin supple by the next morning. I will usually add something additional to my feet though as coconut oil can only do so much on thicker skin. But it also is great on your hair to help strengthen.
HANDS
- L’Occitane hands
The lavender L’Occitane soaks in a lot faster than the classic hand cream. So it is better for the day to day while working and running errands. That said, it works better than most normal hand creams so I always keep it in my purse. The classic L’Occitiane hand cream is VERY emollient and leaves your hands pretty greasy so I like to save it for nighttime. I use it very last before going to sleep. It’s very effective that way so you wake up with soft silky hands!
FEET
This is also something I found only about a year ago but I go through it SOO fast! I also keep it in my nightstand and use it at night before bed. I apply it on THICK and then put big wooly socks on over it. Like with the coconut oil, try to keep your feet super warm and more of it will be absorbed. Also it’s SO cheap! Less than $10 for a big bottle.
LIPS
The Dior Addict balm is once again, one I use at night. I find that it MAJORLY plumps before the morning. Sometimes the pink kind of bleeds outside the lip line… Do not worry! It comes off in the morning… But it always freaks Deven out and when we were first dating it said it “scared him” and that I looked like a “Barbie clown”…. Yep lol. Super attractive! But once I rubbed it off and added a little gloss to my plump, moisturized baby doll pout, he seemed to like it alright!
You can also buy the gloss and balm as a duo – That’s my preference! The gloss is plumping with collagen so it actually helps to plump your lips over time especially when paired with the balm.
OK but the one product I am searching for right now is a good lip balm for my purse! What is your go to for winter? I would love to try a few and do some reviews!
Let me know which of these products you guys try – they ALL have my highest recommendation for cold, dry winter days. You can also read more about my “die hard” skincare rules HERE!

Antigone
